PT Lafarge Cement Indonesia a subsidiary of world leader in cement manufacturing and building material having its operation in Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau and Batam invites you to join our team to the following position:



Purchasing Officer – Buyer (Code: PO)

• Reports to Purchasing Manager, the candidate is responsible to :
• Responsible for custom clearance processes for imported materials for all BU purchasing requirements
• Implement actions to comply with regulatory standards and environmental procedures.
• To coordinate and arrange all requirements and documentation for the tender quotation approval summary and purchase order to ensure smooth and efficient process of tender selection
• Participate in tender selection, review and negotiation so that the most suitable supplier is selected and in line with the overall plant budget. Also resolve disputes or claims with suppliers to prevent interruptions to terminals’ operations.
• Collect, compile and analyse market intelligence on suppliers and product in order to source for the most competitive prices to meet the needs of the company and generate savings.
• Sourcing of products and services including maintenance, PPEs and electrical parts and consumables required for terminals and all Head Office requirements.
• Implement Supplier Management Procedure to achieve safety, reliability and cost improvement. This includes qualification of new suppliers as well as performance monitoring and development of existing suppliers.

General Requirements:

• Must possess at least Bachelor degree (S-1) from recognized university majoring in economic, accounting, engineering eg industrial.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years experiences in purchasing or supply chain preferable in cement industry.

• Knowledge in terminal and plant requirements and product specifications
• Advanced analytical and synthesis skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Focus on results
• Ability to manage team performance – objective setting, coaching, performance monitoring and motivation.
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• Fluent in English (Oral & written)
• Computer literacy / able to operate Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and Power Point).
